“the abiding awareness of the Christian life is to be God Himself, not just thoughts about Him. the total being of our life inside and out is to be absolutely obsessed by the presence of God”
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth
and does not live in temples built by hands.
And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything,
because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.
From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth;
and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him,
though he is not far from each one of us.
For ‘in him we live and move and have our being.’
As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.'”
This passage is so powerful. It is speaking to me right now. God is a blanket over the reality of life. My perception and the perceptions of others are very tainted by our limited discerning capabilities. I feel as thought there are fleeting instances where I perceive life with the clarity of God’s presence, but these are few. I would like for them to increase exponentially in the days to come. I would like to have clear perception of reality. Because my perception is my reality. I want God’s reality and none other. Amen.
“To be obsessed by God is to have an effective barricade against all the assaults of the enemy.”
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,
set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
