when the moon hits your eye…

…like a big pizza pie

I use this whole wheat crust recipe from Eating Well. It is made in a food processor.

I also take an evening to make plenty of pizza/pasta sauce to last us for a good while! This sauce-cube trick is really helpful when you just need enough for one pizza! Just defrost a cube or two as needed.

These photos are a few months old. We have stopped eating meat so pepperonis are no longer in the mix. But I love using the veggies from our farm share! Also, making a white bean, onion, and garlic paste is a great alternative to red sauce and provides protein. I follow this recipe for caramelized onion and white bean flatbread loosely.

When I’m not feeling like a pizza master, we continue to try new alternatives.

Here’s to a good night sleep counting sheep. The cow jumped over the pizza pie moon. The End.
