Robert and I took these photos on a Saturday after I worked in the morning. We ran outside into the cold and he snapped a bunch of shots really quick–then we ran back inside giggling like kids. That was how we met our upstairs neighbors! Fun memory.
Today actually marks the beginning of 23 weeks, and I’d say I’ve definitely “popped.” Well, actually that’s what my coworkers say, but I can feel it. The ladies think I’m carrying a boy, but who knows! Wives tales are tricky.
How far along? 21 weeks in these photos (halfway–that is unreal!)
Total weight gain: about 11 lbs
Maternity clothes: Still none! Bought a maxi skirt with stretchy waist. I just pull it up over the belly and it feels like I’m wearing a blanket all day. I want to get some more!
Sleep: I need a big pillow between my knees. Since you’re not supposed to sleep on your back, this is a good reminder and it helps my lower back/hip pain a lot! But I’m still sleeping like a rock–besides getting up to go to the bathroom at least 2 times.
Miss Anything? It’s not too bad the last couple weeks. I miss being able to get dressed easily in the morning.
Movement: Started feeling flutters!!! It’s amazing and sooo fun to feel this little babe move throughout the day. It makes me very excited to meet this baby of ours…. but not too soon! Robert can’t feel them yet.
Food cravings: I was excited about Thanksgiving food! Stuffing was my favorite this year, even though I couldn’t eat very much.
Symptoms: Lower back/hip pain. Headaches have gotten better since I’m drinking as much water as I need.
Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy!!!
Looking forward to: At this point I was looking forward to Robert’s 5 day trip being over.
