THEO: month 2

I know I’ve been posting a bunch, but really who can complain about a cute video of a baby??? If you are complaining, I dare you to watch this quick 2 and a half minutes … I am so proud of myself for finishing this one day before Theo’s 2 month mark! We love our little sticky bun.

The song is “Save the World” by Charleston duo Shovels & Rope (who I would love to go see tonight in St. Augustine with Jason Isbell… swooning over that lineup and location!!!)

when you’re caught in the wave
of a terrible tide
suddenly you’re struggling
to stay astride

so you calm your hands
and you cool your mind
and you wake up happy
on the other side

when there is a trouble
you can not command
maybe it’s God trying
to guide your hand

to shine a little light
upon where you stand
so that you can genuinely

that you got what it takes
you got what it takes
to save the world

-Shovels & Rope

I don’t have any pics of my other brother, sister & nephew and it’s a crying shame. But they came too. I am so thankful everyone journeyed far and wide to see this city we love and meet this baby boy. Million Xs and Os to my family. You guys are the best.

Five years ago today I graduated from undergrad and was counting down to our January wedding in Atlanta (links will take you to fun videos).

Four years ago today we were pregnant with Archer in Fort Hill, Boston. I blogged over at and treasure all the memories kept there.

Three years ago today I got to hang out with an adorable eight month old in Roslindale, Boston.

Two years ago today we lived in a lovely home with dear friends in Savannah. Unknown to us, we were about to begin one of the hardest seasons of life yet.

One year ago today we set up a Christmas tree in our very own home after playing in the field and eating Krispy Kreme donuts (appropriately, with the same dear friends we shared a home with in 2013).

One month from today I am due with our second son.

Today, on this 9th day of Advent, it feels appropriate to [finally] begin documenting an exciting new season of life, whatever it may bring.
